Huw Powell was born in Bristol in 1976.

He grew up in the village of Pill in North Somerset, the younger brother of award winning science-fiction author, Gareth L Powell.

Huw graduated from University in 1994 with a BA (Hons) in Literature, Art History and Culture. He worked in London for 6 years, but has now returned to live in North Somerset with his wife Beata.

His debut novel, Rush Hour Rules, started out as an experiment and a personal challenge. It was drafted in various cafes and on public transport, providing him with an endless array of real life characters.

Huw is also a keen writer of short stories and Flash Fiction. He’s currently busy promoting his work across the UK and working on his next novel, Death of the Midnight Warrior.
